Led development of custom filament winding machinery to manufacture high-strength carbon fiber tubes, addressing cost and flexibility limitations of commercial systems. Designed molds for compression and composite molding in SolidWorks and ArtCAM, incorporating draft, venting, and shrinkage control for accurate, repeatable production
July 2022 – June 2023
Led a 9-member team in the end-to-end development of the 2023 Aerodynamics Package—design, CFD analysis, and manufacturing with carbon fiber prepreg using autoclave curing. • Designed and manufactured molds, fixtures for the composite elements and 3D printed complex aero components using DFAM principles.
